Bulgarian Open G1 2025
Solid performance from Anna Schneeberger!
This G-tournament took place in Sofia for the 4th time. As expected, the performance of the judges was, as in previous years, quite modest. What a pity about this competition. Travel, accommodation, short distances on site and a dignified arena would be the best prerequisites for a top-level tournament in Europe. The number and quality of participants is also good. Unfortunately, the Bulgarians do not manage to use IR referees throughout and thus ensure the quality of a G-tournament status.
However, Bulgaria is well suited as a test and practice tournament. Once again, we were able to try out our skills under competitive conditions right through to the 3rd round. Especially in view of the fact that the European Championships are taking place so early this year, it's important to be able to try out a few things at this level. And at the end of the day, there are still some valuable points for the world rankings. All in all, Sofia is well worth the trip.
